🙏 Greetings,
It’s Amrit. I’m super excited about this issue of Oxygen Mag, because it’s about scientists. More specifically, it’s about supporting the next generation of women scientists. 👩‍🔬
Special thanks to air quality scientist, Dr. Christine Wiedinmyer, for helping me curate this issue!  Besides researching air quality in Boulder, Colorado, she’s the co-founder of the Earth Science Women’s Network (ESWN). It’s a peer-to-peer mentorship organization dedicated to encouraging women to work in Earth sciences through career development, informal mentoring and professional collaboration.
🤔 Did you know? Women make up 30 percent of the workforce in science and engineering occupations in the United States, even though women earned 57 percent of all bachelor’s degrees since the 1990s, according to a National Science Foundation 2017 special report.
💰 Goal: Let’s raise $2,000 together for the next generation of women scientists and help change that statistic above. Are you in?
Love clean air? Please tell the person sitting next to you right now about Oxygen Mag. And, share this on (1) Twitter (2) LinkedIn, or (3) via a quick e-mail.
