🇫🇷 Bonsoir,
Quoi de neuf? Scroll down to my “Notes” to see why I’m speaking French today.
I’m Amrit and I’m here with another issue of Oxygen Mag. Today, we recognize excellence is leadership. Sadiq Khan is the Mayor of London and he’s been exceptionally vocal on the air quality issues affecting Londoners. Long-term exposure to poor air quality in London is responsible for over 9,000 deaths each year. Today I’ve handpicked stories that highlight Mr. Khan’s leadership and continued effort to improve London’s air quality. The world could use more leaders like him!

Handpicked Stories For You 🙌
I admire Sadiq Khan’s leadership because he doesn’t have an easy job. Despite dealing with issues like the brexit vote, the hideous terrorist attacks in London, the Grenfell Tower fire, and others - he hasn’t stopped campaigning against the public health hazards of air pollution. As someone who has watched Mr. Sadiq Khan from afar, I admire his leadership on this critical issue.

Thank you! Special thanks to Dr. Vasu KilaruDr. Geetanjali Kaushik and Maëlle Salmon for sharing your time and connections with me! Because of that, I met several people in Nepal passionately addressing air quality at ICIMOD and Drishti. I’m in New Delhi now for a flurry of meetings this week along with an air quality workshop. If you’re in Delhi right now, I’d love to grab coffee with you.
🇫🇷 French magazine tous les internets did a beautiful video story on Smokey yesterday. Hundreds of people across France have talked to Smokey because of it. Watch here.
